On a recent visit to Madrid, we decided to venture beyond our usual haunts and walked through Parque de El Retiro and found ourselves at Madrid's main train station Estación de Madrid Atocha. The exterior of this grand old building is impressive. However, it is once you step inside that you appreciate its state of preservation.
